for any fellow guy/jasper ppl
in the words of this vid maker's, "the old man vampire yaoi propaganda got me y'all." i ship it, so for anybody out there who's similarly on board, i wanted to jot down some thoughts!
- i am absolutely good with lingering in the tension between them of (mostly) unrealized attraction, mixed with a heaping dose of uncertainty and self-interest, mistrust and fear. i feel like the show didn't actually invest enough time in building their relationship to a point where the inevitable breakup (even if we're supposed to take it as heterosexual, haha) hit as hard as it could've. altho YEAH it still kinda did, bc their chemistry is just that good?? but i wish s1 gave them a longer run, so anything that extends the time between their first meeting and flambé jasper is a++ in my book.
- would love to play with more s1 fill-in scenes, e.g. wary-but-attracted, feeling-u-out/getting-to-know-u chats; supernatural intrigues, clashes with other vamps/creatures in the shadows; overnight adventures spying on other talamasca agents, the guy ritchie covens, etc etc.
- i'd be all about general canon-divergence goodies: the raglan james nonsense goes REALLY south, so that jasper has to step in, in addition to/instead of checkers; the discussion in the car afterwards goes differently, OR the parking garage confrontation has another, less breakup-worthy outcome 👀👀👀
- post s1 reunion. what happens next??? can guy get jasper tf outta houseman's clutches somehow, bc for Reasons they've still gotta work together—but there's unresolved issues TO SAY THE LEAST??

we've all been there
temp dumping ground for s2 ideas
when we leave our heroes:
- guy and doris are presumably about to act on doris's knowledge of anna's possible whereabouts. houseman's tail is WATCHING them to see where doris leads.
- jasper's in houseman-hell in amsterdam (...it IS amsterdam, right??), faced with converting a roomful of talamascans into baby vamps.
possibilities:
- guy and doris (+allies????) end up in amsterdam and break jasper out for Reasons. could be a combo of their wanting to thwart houseman's actions at the source; jasper having some kinda Info that's too useful to leave behind, once they realize he's there; and guy being just angry enough about more talamasca bullshit that he can't not free jasper, despite, y'know, all his killings and almost killings.
- could set a first real REUNION scene somewhere after all the action of escaping houseman?? maybe the first time guy and jasper are alone together 👀 lots of shit to air out and discuss. i imagine they're both in NOT GREAT shape, with guy having just been on the run for a few weeks (??) / pulling out all the stops in a desperate bid to break houseman's tail without getting himself or doris or anybody else he cares about unalived; while jasper has just been imprisoned and forced to turn his enemies into his fledglings, in a total perversion of everything he treasures and upholds about vampire core identity???
